backr A uery good receit for the Scury Scuruy Take of the yuc of scuruy gras fiue spune fulls . and white wine seuen spune fulls : and 5the iuc of half an oringe : and as much scrapd ginger as will ly on a six penc mingle all these together and sweet it with suger : and drink this quantity for ten mornings to gether : after this is done take this drink 10take fower gallons of new alle: and half a pecke of Scuruy gras 2 handfulls of water cresces and as much brook lime : and halfe a pound of hors redish roots scrapt, and slicd : and tow ounces of english lick- orish : and one ounc of long peper , and as much grains 15: and beat the grains and peper together : and put them into a littell bage: and the lickorish must , be scrapd and slicd , and put into the ale : and the hearbs must be washed and brusd : not stampt : and all the these put into the alle and lett , them work to gether : when 20it is 4 or 5 days old : drink a good draught in the morninge fastinge and walk after it : and at fower [a] clock inthe after noon and walk a good while after [i]t
