take a uery fatt peice of beefe powdred and boyle it uery well then take a good quantity of þe fattest 5broath strayne it and put to it an indifferent quantity of red rose water and beat them well together a great while and when þe pox begins to Itch anoynt them 2. or 3. times a day with it untell they be cleane gon of and when þe party is well 10let them take broath of leaue powdred beefe and mingle it with white wine and so wash þe face therwith and it shall bring it to a smooth- nes as it was befor and by noe meanes keepe þe throat or head too hott. 15 to dry up þe pox take a pint of creame and as much saffron as will make it of a deepe yallow and boyle them together a quarter of an houre and keepe it in a Glase and when þe pox begins to wheale warme some of þe oyntment 20in a sauser and anoynt them with a feather day and night tell they be dryed
